Poland and Estonia update daily growth of COVID cases

Anti-record COVID cases recorded in Poland and Estonia

The head of the Ministry of Health of Poland, Adama Nedzielski, said that this is not the last anti-record incidence of coronavirus in the country.

In Poland over the past day, January 21, 40,876 cases of coronavirus infection were recorded, which is the second “record” figure since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the anti-record of COVID-morbidity is recorded in Estonia for the fourth day in a row.

According to information Ministry of Health of Poland, the largest number of infected – in the Mazovian Voivodeship (Warsaw) – more than 7 thousand, and Silesian (Katowice) – more than 6 thousand.

Over the past day, 193 deaths from COVID-19 were recorded, and the total number of deaths from coronavirus is about 104 thousand.

According to the Head of the Ministry of Health Adam Nedzielski, this is not the last anti-record, next week the number of infected people is predicted to be even higher.

The previous record of infection in Poland was recorded the day before – 36,665 cases.

In Estonia, anti-records for the daily incidence of coronavirus have been set for the fourth day in a row. Over the past day, 4,783 cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded, writes Interfax Ukraine with reference to the Estonian Health Board.

The total number of people infected with coronavirus in Estonia has reached 287,757, and the number of victims of the pandemic has risen to 2,003.
