Two bikers injured in an accident – Landesstraße 3416 / Obertshausen
(lei) Two men aged 29 and 59 were injured in an accident on the state road 3416 on Tuesday evening. Shortly after 10 p.m., the younger man was driving his moped from Hainburg in the direction of Obertshausen when he wanted to turn left about 200 meters before the Tannenmühlkreisel into a junction. The following 59-year-old from Ulrichstein started to overtake at that moment and apparently did not recognize the turning maneuver of the Hainburger, so that both collided with each other. The 59-year-old fell and slid more than 60 meters across the road with the motorcycle. After hitting the crash barrier, he ended up on the road. According to initial findings, he suffered several bruises and abrasions on his arms and legs. The 29-year-old also suffered bruises and whiplash. Both were taken to a clinic for further treatment. The material damage to both two-wheelers is estimated at over 8,000 euros. The state road had to be closed at times.

86-year-old crashes with car in beverage market – Bruchköbel
(lei) A destroyed window front and a good 8,000 euros in damage are the result of an obvious confusion between the gas and brake pedals in the parking lot of a drinks market on Tuesday evening in Niederissigheim. At around 6:15 p.m., an 86-year-old was driving his Golf in the parking lot on Heinrich-Böll-Strasse when he probably mixed up the two pedals and crashed the front of the car into the facade at high speed. Fortunately, according to previous information, no one was injured. Countless glass bottles shattered behind the glass front.
