The turn of the year in the Upper Black Forest was very calm, and not only from a police perspective. Only small numbers of firecrackers and rockets were ignited within the framework of the regulations. Injury or property damage were not known.

The ban on staying outdoors was largely complied with. Only around 20 people had to be reported for violations.

A New Year’s Eve party in St.Märgen with several people from different households was ended after a police request.

A very drunk man had to spend the night in police custody because he molested young women in the DB Regio area.

The number of visitors in the snow-covered heights was great. However, the applicable distance rules were largely complied with. In the Hinterzarten / Rinken area, a large number of car drives had to be objected to because they hindered the clearing services by improper parking. Road users are asked to keep the remaining lane width of 3 m, especially when the road is covered with snow, in order to enable winter service.
