POGI and Le Minerale Present Vaccine Centers Care for Pregnant Women

jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Pregnant women are at risk of severe symptoms if infected with Covid-19. Therefore, the government sets pregnant women in the priority target group for vaccination.

Le Minerale also supports the government’s efforts by presenting a vaccination center for pregnant women in the Greater Jakarta area.

The activity was held in collaboration with the Jakarta branch of the Indonesian Obstetrics and Gynecology Association (POGI).

“We are ready to vaccinate all pregnant women,” said Dr Ulul Albab, representative of POGI Jakarta in a written statement, Monday (25/10).

According to Ulul, the requirements that must be met by pregnant motheri.e. the first dose in the second trimester of pregnancy.

“The second dose is carried out according to the interval of the type of vaccine,” he said.

He said there are three types of vaccines that can be given to pregnant women, including CoronaVac (Sinovac), Pfizer, and Moderna.

“This program is expected to be able to reduce concerns about the Covid-19 virus infection. Pregnant women also don’t need to hesitate to receive the Covid-19 vaccine,” he said.
