Podcast ‘Videnza Propone’: Education for employability

Since Bicentennial Proposals policies are proposed to have education system that helps reduce social gaps, that is the engine that ensures a cohesive society with more well-being, prosperity and, above all, affection among its citizens. May it train future generations with the necessary skills to build a better country.

In line with the above and in the face of the pandemic, the education sector faces a double challenge. On the one hand, it must lessen the effects of an unprecedented pandemic that snatched access and learning, especially from the most vulnerable. On the other hand, continue to deepen the educational reforms that ensure the viability of the country in the long term.

Our next authorities will have to prioritize concrete strategies on:

  • How to recover the quality of learning at all educational levels, from initial to higher education. How to reduce the impact that the pandemic will have on equal opportunities, placing special emphasis on remote populations where in many cases Aprendo en Casa has not arrived or has done so with serious limitations.
  • How to attract the best talent and vocation to the education sector, ensuring quality training for future teachers and promoting the revaluation of the teaching profession. Furthermore, the strengthening and training of in-service teachers cannot be neglected.
  • How to improve the management of the education sector, allowing scarce resources to be efficiently invested in an educational service focused on the needs of the student.

In each of the episodes of “Videnza Proposes” Dedicated to the Education for Employability axis, Daniel Alfaro, former Minister of Education, presents the proposals and concrete measures on how to achieve it.
