POCO X4 GT Confirmed Not to Enter Indonesia, Here’s the Statement

Jakarta, Gizmology – A smartphone vendor with close ties to Xiaomi, POCO has just launched two of its newest smartphones. But it’s different in Indonesia, it’s also different when it’s global launch. Where last June, the POCO F4 was inaugurated with the POCO X4 GT—which incidentally is another variant of the Redmi Note 11T Pro series.

Meanwhile in Indonesia, the launch event that was just held some time ago brought two POCO F4 series, namely the standard variant which has an OIS camera, and the flagship variant. POCO F4 GTbeing the cheapest official Android currently that uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.

Then what about the POCO X4 GT series? Will it follow in the next few weeks? Unfortunately, if Gizmo friends have been waiting for the successor of this POCO X3 GT, you must be discouraged. The reason is, POCO Indonesia has confirmed that the smartphone with the Dimensity chip will not be officially present.

Information regarding the absence of the POCO X4 GT to the Indonesian smartphone market has been available since last night (4/7), where the official Twitter account @POCO_ID has whip the sentence “You don’t come in, bro” when an account owner asks for the presence of POCO X4 GT. Then followed by July 5, 2022, POCO uploaded an official statement.

Through a picture, conveyed gratitude for the enthusiasm of POCO fans for the POCO X4 GT, followed by a statement that may not be pleasant for those who have been waiting for it. “Due to several considerations, we decided not to bring the POCO X4 GT to Indonesia.” It is not clearly stated what kind of considerations are taken by POCO Indonesia.

To answer the disappointment of POCO Fans, the official POCO Indonesia advised them to choose the POCO F4 which is claimed to be able to provide a complete package for the best performance, photos and charging speed. When compared to the previous generation, POCO X3 GT, there are several advantages brought by the POCO F4.

Of course, the 64MP main camera is superior with OIS. In addition, the screen is also better thanks to the use of an AMOLED HDR10+ panel, as well as a thinner profile at 7.7mm. In terms of chipset, Snapdragon 870 5G also has a higher benchmark score, plus it is known to be quite powerful and cool. Only the battery capacity has decreased slightly, from 5,000 mAh to 4,500 mAh.

Advantages of POCO X4 GT

When compared to the X3 GT series, the specifications of the POCO X4 GT are indeed quite tempting. The chipset is faster thanks to the use of MediaTek Dimensity 8100, which is also claimed to be more power efficient by up to 42%. Plus, it’s paired with an improved cooling system for more sustained performance, including when playing games.

In terms of screen, still use the type of IPS LCD panel measuring 6.6 inches. However, the refresh rate has been increased to 144Hz, and it supports Dolby Vision visual effects. Its superior display is paired with a Dolby Atmos stereo speaker setup for a more immersive movie and gaming experience.

While the rear camera is still 64MP resolution, use the Samsung GW1 sensor type without OIS. The price of the POCO X4 GT itself is priced starting from 299 Euros or Rp. 4.6 million. While in Indonesia, the price of the POCO F4 starts from IDR 5.1 million for the lowest memory variant. Slightly up from last year’s POCO F3.
