Please note, gastroenteritis is back in our region

Our departments are not spared the epidemic of gastroenteritis which affects almost all of metropolitan France, according to the site sentinels (Inserm, Sorbonne University Medicine, Public Health). In the last week of 2019, symptoms of acute diarrhea were very active among general practitioners.

The incidence rate of acute diarrhea cases seen in general practice has been estimated at 289 cases per 100,000 population.

At the regional level, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes is above this average because it has recorded 296 cases per 100,000 population, but the region is behind regions like Grand-Est (656 cases), Occitanie (411 cases) and Nouvelle-Aquitaine (402 cases).
