As you surely know, PlayStation 5 e Xbox Series X/S have now been on the market for a few months and both Sony and Microsoft have set in motion to try to bring the public closer to their home consoles through particularly captivating titles and services of great depth. In the meantime, however, the introduction of a backward compatibility with (almost) all the production of the now ended generation has pushed countless teams to make more or less substantial patches and updates specifically designed to make the most of next-gen console hardware.
Among the many productions that have been able to enjoy these improvements, there is also the appreciated Control by Remedy Entertainment (sold in the new Ultimate Edition version), a title that has benefited from various visual innovations that have proved capable of making the experience even more splendid. from a technical point of view. For the occasion, Digital Foundry has launched into its usual one game analysis to verify, in particular, the various technical differences between the PlayStation 5 / Xbox Series X and PC versions, coming to the conclusion that between the two consoles it would have been the Xbox version to have been able to enjoy the most obvious benefits.
Furthermore, in the course of the video published by the company, Alex Battaglia indulged in some statements that were able to generate a lot of noise. The man, in fact, stated that Xbox Series X, while presenting hardware superior to the PlayStation home counterpart, continues to present multiplatform – both Next-Gen and Old-Gen – whose visual quality appears very similar to the PlayStation 5 versions. According to Alex, the various videogame companies would prefer not to fully exploit the potential offered by Xbox Series X to avoid creating discontent in the Sony shores, being the most popular Japanese console compared to the flagship of Microsoft, as also demonstrated by the sales figures that have now emerged.
As easily imaginable, the statement has sparked a fuss of no small importance that is making itself felt with particular force among the most famous forums, where fans of both consoles seem to have battled without holds barred, with many PlayStation 5 fans. who did not appreciate the comparison made by Alex. At the same time, however, many users are trying to calm down, certain of the fact that development teams will take years to fully exploit the new hardware and that only then will it be possible to really understand which is the best console in the technical field.
