PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X: the cancellation of pre-orders continues

Finding a Next-Gen console on Day One has become an insurmountable challenge for many. As you surely know, the stocks of PlayStation 5 e Xbox Series X/S are in fact now finished in practically every corner of the globe, to the point that many chains have started booking the new consoles directly for 2021, a sign of the fact that a large part of the public who hoped to be able to get their hands on one of the new machines from game from Sony or Microsoft will have to wait far longer than expected.

Given the various difficulties that have arisen with the arrival of the Coronavirus, it is not difficult to imagine that the problems of stocks are linked precisely to the onset of the pandemic and the lockdowns that have affected the whole world, complications that probably made themselves felt with much more force than we could have imagined, given that in recent months even those who have been able to pre-order the consoles in time may not receive them anyway on Day One, as revealed by the various messages that many users have received from the most famous chains.

Well, to add a little more salt to the wound, it seems that the situation is becoming even more dramatic given that GameStop, in the course of these last hours, has started a real mass cancellation of countless reservations, both for PlayStation 5 and for Xbox Series X / S. Apparently, the problem would be due to a lack of control by the chain of the number of consoles actually available, with the consequent need to reduce the number of pre-orders in order not to run into serious difficulties for Day One. The problem made itself felt in different parts of the planet, but it would not seem to concern Italy, all thanks to a more careful management that led to the sale of the only consoles actually available.

As if this were not enough, it would seem that even the well-known Target chain was forced to follow the same procedure as GameStop, with an avalanche of emails sent to various users to make known the cancellation of the reservation made. On closer inspection, GameStop preferred not to clarify the specific reasons that led to such a situation, while Target preferred to immediately make it clear that all this would have arisen from the company’s inability to satisfy all customers who have made pre-orders on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

In case you are interested in the Next-Gen, we advise you to keep an eye Amazon, where pre-orders for some new Microsoft and Sony consoles should return sooner or later.
