Barcelona Children Celebrate End-of-Year with Play All Project
On Tuesday, June 17, the Play All project, in collaboration with the Barcelona Tennis Foundation and supported by Nike, hosted its highly anticipated End-of-Year Party. This event brought together approximately 100 children and adolescents from diverse neighborhoods across Barcelona and Badalona for a day filled with fun, education, and sports.
A Celebration of Unity and Diversity
The End-of-Year Party was more than just a conclusion to the school year; it was a celebration of the core values that have guided the project throughout the year. Groups from various schools and neighborhoods, including Raval, Carmel, Vall d’Hebron, Zona Franca, and Badalona, actively participated in the event. Organized by age group and accompanied by their educators, each group rotated through a series of carefully designed activity stations.
Did You Know? According to a 2024 study by the World Health organization, regular physical activity among children and adolescents is crucial for physical and mental health, helping to prevent chronic diseases later in life.
The event was designed to be both fun and pedagogically enriching, with a focus on:
- Fostering values such as cooperation, respect, effort, sportsmanship, and commitment.
- Encouraging physical activity through play and enjoyment, moving away from competitiveness.
- Strengthening group bonds and concluding the school year with a meaningful, shared experience.
