Just in time for the start of Indian Summer, the MS Hamburg will set course twice for the Great Lakes in Canada and the USA next year.
As the only German-speaking cruise ship, the MS Hamburg will be heading for the Great Lakes in Canada and the USA next autumn. The sea trips for a maximum of 400 passengers not only lead to impressive natural sights such as Niagara Falls, the region around the Thousand Islands with the forests that are colorful in autumn, but also to metropolises such as Chicago, Toronto, Detroit and Cleveland. The two 18-day routes each start in Montrèal.
Structural features & modernizations
The MS Hamburg was specially designed for cruises on the Great Lakes and was recently extensively modernized by installing lowerable panoramic windows in many cabins as well as newly designed bars and restaurants. The dimensions and superstructures of the ship make it possible to pass through the 15 huge locks on the St. Lorenz Stream and the Great Lakes. If necessary, the captain can even retract parts of the navigating bridge in order to navigate into the lock chambers with centimeter precision.
