planters installed on avenue Henri-Barbusse before the arrival of the benches

The town hall of Villeurbanne may have been inspired by what was done during Charlemagne in Lyon a few months ago.

She decided to install this Monday new street furniture on avenue Henri-Barbusse, in the Gratte-Ciel district. First of all, planters will be deployed on the pedestrian part of the shopping street.

These wooden greenery should remain in place until the end of July while waiting for the arrival of benches and tables by the fall.

Avenue Henri-Barbusse is therefore continuing its transformation as a new phase of transformation of the city center begins. Ultimately, it should be completely pedestrianized. It will also be extended to rue Francis-de-Pressensé by 2030.
