Flight BA438 had taken off from London’s Heathrow Airport shortly after noon on Thursday. The pilots had already started the landing when they were suddenly told by the cabin crew that one of the passengers could no longer hold up an urgent message.

The safety regulations stipulate that all occupants must remain buckled in their seats during the landing, forcing the crew to make a go-around. According to the aviation website Airlive, the pilots made a new landing attempt after an extra round around Haarlem and landed the aircraft safely and without significant delay.
