PKPU-Kan, Ace Hardware admits that he has a monthly legal service agreement of IDR 10 million

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk (ACES) was sued by Wibowo and Partners by filing for Postponement of Debt Payment Obligations ( PKPU). This lawsuit is related to a bill that is due.

Responding to this, Director of Ace Hardware Indonesia Sugianto Wibawa said that his party had not received an official notification regarding the PKPU request for his company.

“We say that at this time we have not received an official notification of the case from the Commercial Court,” he said as quoted from the official letter on the public information disclosure page of the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Thursday (8/10/2020).

However, he confirmed that Ace Hardware has a partnership with Wibowo and Partners in the form of a legal service agreement. The monthly legal service agreement value between the two is IDR 10 million.

“Between Ace Hardware Indonesia and Wibowo and Partners there is a monthly legal service agreement (retainer) worth Rp 10 million,” he said,

Performance Still Good

Sugianto stated, Ace Hardware will immediately take a stand after receiving an official notification of the lawsuit.

He also appealed to the public and investors to be wise in responding to this news. He makes sure, performance Ace hardware the moment is very good,

“Currently, Ace hardware Indonesia has a very good performance and continues to operate as usual,” he concluded.

Previously, Wibowo and Partners’ lawsuit was registered at the Central Jakarta District Commercial Court (PN) on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 with case number 329 / Pdt.Sus-PKPU / 2020 / PN Niaga Jkt.Pst.

In his petitum, the petitioner asked the panel of judges to accept and grant the PKPU application submitted against Ace Hardware. As well as asking to establish a temporary PKPU on Ace Hardware no later than 45 days from the time the a quo decision was pronounced.

Attorney Wibowo and Partners, Fajar Ardianto, said that PKPU’s submission of Ace Hardware was made because it was related to bills that were due and had not been paid.

“The bill is related to the Legal Service Agreement from Wibowo & Partners that is due. For the amount of the bill and other details, maybe you can wait later after the first trial,” Fajar told Kompas.com, Wednesday (7/10/2020).
