new Pickleball Courts to Open at Hudson Mills Metropark
DEXTER TOWNSHIP, MI – Eight new pickleball courts are set to open at Hudson Mills Metropark on Monday, October 6, offering a new recreational possibility for residents and visitors. A dedication ceremony will be held at 5:30 p.m. to officially open the Warren Hamill Memorial Pickleball Courts.
The Huron-Clinton Metroparks announced the addition in their September newsletter, responding to the growing popularity of pickleball – a paddle sport combining elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. The sport is known for its accessibility, attracting players of all ages and skill levels with its low-impact workout and social atmosphere.
These courts are entirely funded by a charitable donation from Marlys Hamill, according to the Metroparks. Hudson Mills Metropark is located at 8801 N Territorial Road in Dexter Township. Players are encouraged to bring their paddles and enjoy the new facilities.
