Pianist Iris Hond attracts different kind of audience after participating in dating program | NOW

Pianist and composer Iris Hond sees another audience coming to her concerts since she participated in the Net5 program Iris and the 12 dates. Among other things, she sees an increase in the number of women who visit her performances, she tells NU.nl.

Hond says it is incredibly nice that her concerts nowadays also attract a different group of spectators.

“People also know me in a personal way through the program. The people who watched the program also came into contact with what I do. I think it is fantastic that more women come to my concerts,” said Hond.

In the program that was shown on Net5 in 2019, Hond went in search of true love. In seven episodes in which she had twelve blind dates, she investigated with the help of a psychologist what true love meant to her. In the end she did not find love in the program.

Hond can be seen seven nights in a row from 14 to 20 June in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. In a concert series she honors the composer Ludovico Einaudi. It is the first time that an artist gives so many consecutive concerts in Het Concertgebouw.
