The author of the monument, Dushan Dostal, said that his work is called “Ahriman”. This is a demon from Persian mythology, which is absolute evil. The statue of the dictator raises his hand in a Nazi salute. The author therefore wanted to demonstrate that Putin is the one who continues Hitler’s work.
Czech businessman Dalibor Dedek, who was involved in the installation of the Putin statue, said that the purpose of this action was to show the Czechs that the war continues in Ukraine and provide moral and material support to the Ukrainians.

Czech support for Ukraine
The Czech Republic is one of those states that actively support Ukraine in the war against the Russian occupiers.
