Children on Filirrin were obliged to stay at home

Home quarantine for children under 17 is only part of the new restrictions that have been introduced in the country due to the new strain.

In the Philippines, due to the danger of the spread of the Delta strain, authorities have ordered millions of children between the ages of five and 17 to stay indoors. On Friday, July 23rd, reports Interfax.

“The Delta variant is more contagious and dangerous,” said Harry Roque, the president’s press secretary.

It is also noted that the new restrictive measures will affect the capital region of the country, as well as four other provinces of the Philippines. In particular, the restrictions on the number of people eating indoors, visiting beauty salons and religious meetings are being tightened.

The new restrictions were announced two weeks after the ban on leaving the home for adults, which had been in effect since March 2020, was lifted. However, this prohibition was often violated. The government explained this ban by the fact that children and adolescents can contract the virus and pass it on to older relatives.

It was previously reported that Georgia went to “red” zone due to the outbreak of COVID-19. During the day, 2,616 new COVID cases were detected in the country.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine declares that Delta strain is spreading and it is only a matter of time before it becomes widespread in Ukraine.
