For the sake of smooth construction of the refinery, Pertamina President Commissioner Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok formed a special team at Pertamina.
This team is tasked with handling potential investors who are interested in cooperating in the Pertamina refinery project. They will also renegotiate with potential investors who were interested in working on refinery projects.
“To renegotiate all investors who have and want to collaborate with Pertamina,” Ahok told detikcom, Saturday (3/10/2020).
Most recently, Pertamina has just failed to continue working together to build a refinery. This happened at the Cilacap Refinery Development Master Plan (RDMP) with Saudi Aramco investors.
Pertamina’s Managing Director Nicke Widyawati said that there had been a difference in understanding in the bargaining of the project value which made negotiations fail.
Nicke said Saudi Aramco was offering too cheaply than Pertamina offered. In fact, he said the difference was up to Rp. 1 billion.
“Yes, indeed we also said that if the reason did not happen because Aramco bid our existing refinery too cheap, the difference is that it is US $ 1 billion more.
