Person attending political conference in Maryland tests coronavirus positive

An assistant to the Annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) from the past sen National Harbor, Maryland, tested positive for coronavirus, as confirmed by the American Conservative Union in written statements, US media reported.

At the conference were the president Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence and other officials, although the Union said that none came into direct contact with those attending the event.

According to the organization, the exposure to Covid-19 occurred prior to the conference. The patient, resident in New Jersey, remains in quarantine after being diagnosed in a hospital in that state, he said.
