The Sharjah Performing Arts Academy, the leading institution of education and training in the performing arts, has announced the opening of enrollments for the new academic year and the launch of its full program of interviews, live performances, open day events, workshops, educational lectures and exploration tours in the Academy, as well as networking events, strengthening relationships and productions.
Since its inception in 2019, the Academy has sought to provide world-class training programs that follow the institutes’ teaching methods and formal education programs for emerging talent in the performing arts and production fields. It has also achieved a prominent position as the best performing arts academy in the region, thanks to its prestigious undergraduate and graduate programs in the fields of acting, musical theater, production arts and dance.
The Academy’s goals are in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to advance the performing arts sector in the UAE and around the world. It offers students unique opportunities to study and practice the performing arts and contribute to the development of the sector in the region and make optimum use of its cultural potential.
The Sharjah Performing Arts Academy equips its students and graduates with the skills needed to achieve excellence and build successful careers in the professional performing arts industry globally. The Academy offers candidates, including artists, dancers, actors, designers, technicians and theater directors, the opportunity to study full-time undergraduate programs in the fields of acting, production arts and musical theater, as well as a Trinity degree Level Six in Professional Modern Dance; This is done through a distinct set of educational programs under the supervision of a group of experienced specialists at the highest level and according to intensive and experience-based training activities.
Registration for the new year will take place according to a single mechanism; Students applying to graduate programs at the Academy have the unique opportunity to audition or be interviewed. It also provides emerging talent with the opportunity to participate in auditions, open day events and a range of networking activities with students, teachers and numerous academic leaders from the academy.
