Perfect holiday weather in southern Europe, but less warm in the north | NOW

In Southern Europe, the holiday weather is perfect with a sun that works overtime. It is especially sunny and very warm around the Mediterranean Sea, Weeronline said on Thursday. Holidaymakers in the north of Europe have to deal with much cooler and showery weather.

If you go on holiday to one of our neighboring countries in the coming days, you will have to deal with less high temperatures. On Thursday it will still be above 30 degrees in some places, but on Friday it will be much cooler with 21 to 27 degrees. Then rain and thunderstorms will also pass over the area.

The sun will show itself again in Germany after the weekend. In the south it could be showery again in the course of next week.

Showers can also occur at the southern neighbors and the heat is dissipated. In Belgium and Luxembourg, temperatures will rise to 20 to 27 degrees on Friday. After the weekend it can again reach 30 degrees.

In France it stays warm, but it is sometimes a little less hot

It was already very hot in the French regions of Dordogne and Ardèche and those tropical temperatures will continue for a while. Tourists in northern France are faced with rain and thunderstorms, putting an end to the worst of the heat for a while. In Paris, the mercury fluctuates around 29 degrees for a few days, after which it becomes tropical warm again.

It will also remain hot around the Alps for a while. In Vienna it will be 35 degrees until Friday. There is a chance of a shower over the weekend, after which temperatures drop. This is happening not only in Vienna, but also in the rest of Austria and Switzerland. It will be warmer there again next week, according to Weeronline.

Good holiday weather around the Mediterranean Sea

It is also good to be around the Mediterranean Sea. The sun is out in full force. Around the Spanish costa’s the temperatures are around 31 to 34 degrees. In the interior, temperatures reach up to 40 degrees.

It is slightly cooler on the Portuguese coast, but still tropical: in Lisbon the temperatures are between 27 and 31 degrees.

In the narrow Italian streets it can also get quite warm with temperatures between 35 and 40 degrees. At the sea, a weak wind provides some cooling. Similar weather conditions can be seen on the Greek islands and in Turkey.

Changeable and cooler in British Isles and Scandinavia

A little further north, the weather is more changeable and cooler. In England it is sunny and between 25 and 30 degrees. In Scotland and Ireland it is significantly cooler with temperatures between 15 and 18 degrees, but temperatures there too rise to above 20 degrees after the weekend.

The sun also shows itself in Scandinavia, but there are also showers over the area every day. In Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm, among others, the temperatures are between 20 and 25 degrees.
