Last week, Parker’s dress became a hot topic of conversation on social media in addition to Fulham’s big win over Liverpool at Anfield.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola gave an interesting answer when his fashion style was compared to Fulham tactician Scott Parker.
Closest, Man City will face Fulham in Week 28 of the English Premier League at Craven Cottage, Sunday (14/3) WIB.
Guardiola admitted that he was impressed by Parker’s coaching style which had successfully led Fulham to promotion and is now in an effort to survive in the EPL with an interesting game.
“In English football today, there are two very good managers: Mr [Graham] Potter with Brighton, Scott [Parker] at Fulham, “Pep said during his pre-match press conference.
“They are innovative, they have a team with the courage to play. This is my fifth season [di City] and I saw the quality of these teams. Their standard of play is high, ”said the 50-year-old coach.
“Even in games when they lose, the way Brighton and Fulham play, always creates more chances and it’s always positive,” he added.
Not only tactics, Guardiola also admitted to being impressed with Parker in terms of fashion. Last week, the latter wore a gray blazer that caught the eye from the sidelines as Fulham beat Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield.
“Look, he’s younger, he still has hair, he’s better than me, for sure. I accept this defeat against him, “he concluded.
As for the table standings, Man City is still comfortable at the top with 68 points, up to 14 points ahead of Manchester United who are in second place.
While Fulham perched in 18th place with 26 points. The Cottagers only lost goal productivity from Brighton who was ranked 17th, aka the relegation threshold.
