The Takbiran Night Bedug Festival at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) was enthusiastically welcomed by residents. DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said the community had been waiting for this moment.
“This is indeed a night we have been waiting for. The community has passed the month of Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr, without any mass takbiran, without any activities at the mosque. This Ramadan, Alhamdulillah, the pandemic condition is under control and the community can gather together for takbiran in mosques in throughout Jakarta, including in this JIS,” said Anies at JIS, North Jakarta, Sunday (1/5/2022).
Anies confirmed that JIS will hold Eid prayers on Monday (2/5) morning tomorrow. Anies will also perform Eid prayers at JIS.
Reflecting on the enthusiasm of the residents during the takbiran at JIS tonight, Anies asked the residents to come early during the Eid prayer. Eid prayer activities will be held starting at 07.00 WIB tomorrow.
“I recommend arriving early. The Eid prayer does start at 07.00 WIB, but we recommend arriving at the location at 06.00 WIB, so that both can sit quietly, takbir until 07.00 WIB when the Eid prayer begins,” he said.
Furthermore, Anies said that his party gave the opportunity for residents to see the area within the JIS tomorrow. After holding the Eid prayer, residents can enter the JIS area.
“There are no special restrictions, but what is clear is that the entry is of course gradual. Later there will be an entrance to the stadium while walking out. Later out from the bottom near the grass directly to the parking floor. So for those who want to see the inside of the stadium after the Eid prayer can walk, there can be a route I’ll go straight to the parking lot,” he said.
