Aleksey Goncharenko became Vice-President of the PACE Committee on Migration

The post of vice-president of the Committee on Migration, Refugees and Displaced Persons of PACE was taken by a representative of Ukraine for the first time.

For the first time, a representative of Ukraine became the vice-president of the Committee on Migration, Refugees and Displaced Persons of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). This position was given to a member of the Ukrainian parliamentary delegation, People’s Deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko.

“I was elected Vice-President of the Committee on Migration, Refugees and Displaced Persons of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe,” Goncharenko wrote in Facebook.

Let us recall that on Monday, January 24, the PACE session started. New President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Dutch Senator Tiny Cox.

It was previously known that Ukraine challenged the powers of the Russian delegation in PACE. This proposal was supported by Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Georgia and Poland.
