The US agency for military research DARPA has developed a chip that is applied under the skin and there continuously tests the blood for Sars-CoV-2. A transmitter transmits the status.

It sounds like science fiction. A sensor embedded in a tissue-like gel is pushed under people’s skin. There he continuously tests the blood and monitors chemical reactions in the body. If he finds evidence of the presence of Sars-CoV-2, he sends a signal to a control center, which can then initiate further measures. The affected person also receives the signal, isolates himself immediately and initiates a blood test by medical staff.

Gel-Chip is intended to be used on US ships and other military units

This system really does exist. It was developed by DARPA under the direction of Dr. Matt Hepburn after the novel coronavirus spread at breakneck speed on the US aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt. Almost 1,300 crew members tested positive for PCR within a very short time.

In such a cramped space as a ship, it is understandably important to receive health information as quickly as possible. In this respect, the idea of the DARPA researchers is understandable.
