This certainty comes from the parameters set by the budget law for 2023, the draft of which has already been approved by the government. It assumes the indexation of pensions from 1 March 2023 to the extent of 13.8 percent and guarantees the funds for the increase in benefits and the 13th old-age pension. There will also be money for the fourteenth, but first a law must be passed that guarantees this additional benefit – either only in 2023, or as Jarosław Kaczyński announced – definitively, every year, as is the case for the legal regulation of the thirteenth pension.
Currently, the lowest pension is PLN 1,338.44 gross (net is minus 9% of the health insurance premium). If nothing changes – and the change can only occur in an even higher indexation rate due to constantly growing inflation – and the indexation index is 113.8, the lowest pension would amount to PLN 1,523.14.
