According to the publication, the incident occurred on May 26. The 79-year-old woman flew home to Munich after a ten-day vacation in Antalya. While she was waiting for her flight, it was moved to another boarding gate. As a result, the woman mistakenly stood in line to board the plane flying to Moscow.
In the Russian capital, the woman had to wait several hours at the airport until she was issued a return flight to Turkey. At the airport in Istanbul, the pensioner spent the night on a bench, and in the morning successfully boarded a flight to Munich.
As a result, the woman spent 30 hours on the road and intends to request compensation from Turkish Airlines, which served the flight to Moscow. The airline did not respond to a request from the publication about how a passenger could be allowed to go on a non-flight.
