On Friday in Vienna-Floridsdorf, an 80-year-old boy was knocked down and robbed by a stranger in front of a bank branch. The search is running.
The pensioner told officials that he had withdrawn cash in the upper three-digit euro range from the bank. He was then approached by a man in front of the branch on Brünner Strasse and asked to change a banknote into coins.
Suddenly the stranger hit him on the upper body, snatched the envelope from him with the cash, and escaped. An immediately initiated search was unsuccessful. Video material from the bank was secured, an evaluation takes place every hour. The 80-year-old was not injured in the incident.
