“He was 22 and he should have been here tonight,” said Vedder from the stage, just before the band played the song Daughter. “He passed away unexpectedly a few days ago. We want to remember Sem in a beautiful way.”

Sem’s body was found on Wednesday 22 June at the Pieterskerkhof in the center of Utrecht. Emergency services were called around 6:30 a.m. The boy was resuscitated, but to no avail.
Many questions
RTV Utrecht writes that there are still many questions about the death of Sem. For example, the question is why his bicycle was found near the Domkerk, while he left the Jans Bar on the same bicycle that evening around 3.30 am.
The police are currently investigating what happened and are calling on any witnesses or people with CCTV footage to come forward.
