Several hundred people took part in the traditional peace marches organized over the weekend in Easter in many German cities, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.

In Munich, about 1,000 people took part in the event, demanding the elimination of nuclear weapons. They also spoke out against the use of drones in military operations. In Münster, about 100 activists took part in a cycling march for peace. In Mainz, about 100 people took part in a peace march. There were similar events in Nuremberg, Saabruken and Dusseldorf. At the same time, thousands of people gathered in Stuttgart today to protest the coronavirus restrictions. The protest took place in the festival area of Kanstater Vazen on the banks of the Neckar River. The protest was organized by the Lateral Thinking movement, which unites far-right, anti-vaccine and Kovid-19 deniers.

Most of the demonstrators did not wear masks. They also ignored calls from police to follow sanitary rules. The demonstrators marched through the city center and ended up in a town square. They carried placards that read “End of the Kovid Dictatorship.” Protesters called for an end to the lockdown, said they did not believe official figures on the number of people infected with the coronavirus and spoke out against the obligation to be vaccinated. The protest in Stuttgart was not marked by major incidents.

Between 15,000 and 20,000 people gathered in Kassel on March 20th for a similar protest, which ended in clashes with police and several arrests.
