jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) held a party school on Friday (21/8) in order to equip its champions in the 2020 simultaneous regional elections.?

The son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Gibran Rakabumin Raka who became a candidate for mayor of Surakarta from the PDIP also participated in this virtual activity.

PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto in this activity reminded all party school participants to be strictly disciplined. In particular, Hasto asked Gibran to be an example for other participants in applying discipline in party schools.

At first, Hasto greeted Gibran, who looked like he had just got a haircut. Next, Hasto asked President Jokowi’s eldest son about his readiness to attend the PDIP School.

Gibran immediately responded to Hasto’s question. “Ready, sir,” he said.

Hasto then continued his speech. In previous years, PDIP held a party school for regional head candidates at Wisma Kinasih, Depok, West Java.

The party school participants who were gathered at Wisma Kinasih had to follow a strict schedule. After waking up at 05.00 WIB and praying, party school participants then exercised, then were trained with various materials until the evening.

However, the Covid-19 pandemic forced the PDIP to hold an activity entitled the School for the Candidate Party for Regional Heads & Deputy Regional Heads for the 2020 simultaneous regional elections. Even so, Hasto ensured that there was no special treatment for party school participants, including Gibran.
