Chairman of the PDI-Perjuangan DPP Hendrawan Supratikno revealed that his party would carry out enforcement related to the ‘row of wild boars’ and asked the frame to know yourself.
This statement also responded to the Deputy Chairperson of the PDIP Purworejo DPC Albertus Sumbogo who declared support for the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate in 2024 which was later dubbed a ‘boar’.
“Those who feel they are part of the structure must know themselves, know their position,” said Hendrawan when contacted, Wednesday (13/10).
“It will be brought under control according to the DPP’s circular letter. The DPP has an organ in charge of that, and works in the light of the party’s honor and wisdom,” he continued, without elaborating on the form of control.
According to Hendrawan, the emergence of various volunteers who declared their support for certain candidates was not a problem.
“Volunteers don’t have a problem, they’re just volunteers. Those who are structural and carry party attributes are not allowed, because they have to be in ‘one marching line’. Have to wait for the party’s decision,” he said.
His party also dismissed the notion that there was an increase in internal party tension related to the wild boar issue. “Who said it was hot? Who said it was cold? It’s mediocre. The media is busy. The political industry has turned the usual into tension, controversy, and even confrontation,” Hendrawan argued.
Previously, Albertus Sumbogo and a number of cadres declared the DPC for the National Secretariat of Ganjar Indonesia (SGI) in Purworejo Regency on September 25, 2021.
The chairman of the Central Java PDIP DPD Bambang Wuryanto alias Bambang Pacul said that the PDIP cadres who declared a presidential candidate ahead of the directives of PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri had left the line and dubbed them ‘boars’.
Separately, West Java PDIP DPD Chairman Ono Surono ensured that cadres in West Java remained solid despite the appearance of ‘fighting boars’.
“I hope the West Java PDIP cadres will actually carry out the results of the V PDIP Congress and the instructions from the Party’s DPP that related to presidential and vice presidential candidates is the authority of the general chairman,” said Ono, Wednesday (13/10).
“Always instructed that cadres obey the instructions of the DPP,” he said.
Regarding the support of the wild boars, the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, himself admitted that he was still a “bull”.
