Paxlovid: the High Authority for Health gives the green light to Pfizer’s anti-covid pill

The treatment was validated by the Haute Autorité de Santé on Friday 21 January.

After the failure of Lagevrio last December, the first anti-covid treatment will finally make its arrival on the market. The High Authority for Health (HAS) has given the green light to the use of Paxlovid, Pfizer’s anti-covid pill.

According to the data, the drug would be 89% effective and would protect against severe forms of Covid. 500,000 treatments of this pill designed by Pfizer have been ordered by the French government.
