Oasis Afterparty DJ Set Cancelled Amid Legal Troubles for Paul Gallagher
Dublin Event Scrapped Following Charges Against Liam and Noel’s Brother
Paul Gallagher, brother of Oasis frontmen Liam and Noel Gallagher, has had his DJ set at a Dublin Oasis afterparty cancelled. The event was scheduled to coincide with the band’s highly anticipated reunion tour performances in the city.
Legal Allegations Surface
The cancellation follows serious charges levied against Paul Gallagher, 59, by the Metropolitan Police in July. He faces accusations including rape, coercive and controlling behaviour, multiple sexual assaults, intentional strangulation, threats to kill, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. These alleged offences are reported to have occurred between 2022 and 2024.
Court Appearance Looms
Paul Gallagher is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, August 27th. His court date precedes the Oasis reunion shows in Dublin.
Venue Confirms Cancellation
A spokesperson for The Grand Social venue confirmed the change to the PA news agency. “Paul Gallagher will no longer be DJing at our Oasis afterparty,”
the spokesperson stated. The venue has secured alternative DJs, with Mani from The Stone Roses set to perform on Saturday night and Alan McGee on Sunday.
Oasis Tour Continues
Liam and Noel Gallagher reunited for the Oasis Live ’25 tour, marking their first performances together since the band’s dissolution in 2009. The tour commenced in July, with dates in Cardiff, Manchester, London, and Edinburgh. The band is scheduled for two sold-out concerts at Dublin’s Croke Park on August 16th and 17th.
