We will have to wait until 2022 to discover the new Anglet festival formula. Reduced to five days, they were scheduled from Thursday March 4 to Sunday March 7, 2021. But the health situation, caused by the Covid 19 pandemic and other variants, left a serious doubt on the possibility of organizing these parties. The decision was made official on Wednesday February 3, 2021, to cancel them.
Festive rendezvous hoped for in September
In 2020, the municipality had made the decision to abandon the previous format of patronal festivals, which lasted for several weeks. The festival committee has been dissolved and a new form of organization has been put in place to prepare for the 2021 edition. But it cannot take place any more than that of 2020. We will therefore have to wait a year. With perhaps, to console themselves, a new festive meeting, scheduled for the beginning of September at the Chambre d’Amour.
April uncertain
Cancellations of appointments in the Anglet entertainment program currently only concern the months of February and March. Those for the month of April are currently maintained. Among them, the Pilotarienak bare-handed pelota tournament at the glass trinquet of Aitz Pean, of course, conditioned to the evolution of the pandemic. In the event that it could not take place, a postponement to the fall of 2021 is envisaged.
