“Patrick, come on him!” A policeman in pursuit of a quarantine violator [WIDEO]

On Saturday afternoon there was an unusual chase through the streets of Krakow. After work, a policeman noticed that a young man was coming down the rope from the first-floor window of the quarantined hotel and tried to escape. The officer began the pursuit without hesitation, which was captured in a video made by his colleagues – also law enforcement officers – who were quarantined in the same hotel. – Patrick, give him! – heard in the background.

He tried to escape from the quarantine. The police caught him

The way forward is described in the Communication posted on the website of the Małopolska Police. The 23-year-old fugitive turned out to be faster than the policeman, but fortunately he used the help of an outside observer, who lent his bicycle for the purpose of the action. The chase for the Ukrainian ended in the vicinity of allotments on Mydlnicka Street, where the fugitive was overpowered. As it turned out, the man wasn’t on quarantine, but decided to visit his colleagues who were staying in the hotel in forced 14-day isolation, unavoidable for visitors from Ukraine.

The second detainee “had had enough of being in one place”

Interestingly, another attempt to leave the hotel room on the rope took place in the same place late in the evening. One of the men in quarantine decided to leave because, as he later said, “he was tired of being in one place.” Vigilant policemen in isolation on the same floor noticed this incident and decided to inform their colleague (the same who had captured the 23-year-old earlier) about it, who quickly arrived at the scene and detained the 28-year-old Ukrainian.

The man was preventively moved from the first floor to the fourth, and the Sanepid was notified about his act. In relation to both men caught red-handed, the Krakow police conduct investigations.
