• The Delta variant is more transmissible than the other variants.
• Vaccines maintain their increased effectiveness in preventing symptomatic disease and hospitalization if the complete regimen is administered.
• It is absolutely necessary to increase vaccine coverage to limit transmission and reduce the effects of the Delta variant.
• Compliance with SARS-CoV-2 infection prevention measures:

• Persons detected on RT-PCR testing or using rapid antigen-positive tests for SARS-CoV-2 should contact and inform their family doctor about their state of health, including where they have decided to isolate. For a favorable evolution of the disease, it is very important that symptomatic people, with risk factors or with medium or severe forms be evaluated in a hospital unit.
• Epidemiological investigations allow the identification of all persons who have been in close contact with a covid patient, in order to quarantine and limit the transmission of the Sars-Cov-2 virus in the community. It is very important that during the epidemiological investigation all the requested information and any other relevant information related to the patient’s situation and contacts are communicated to the representative of the Public Health Directorate.
