Trudeau said the new task force will help the government better respond to the changing needs of Canadians and continue to provide them with the quality services they need and deserve. Ten members of his cabinet will sit on a new committee, which will review service delivery and identify gaps and areas for improvement. The committee is expected to make recommendations, with short and long-term solutions to reduce wait times, eliminate the backlog of applications waiting to be processed and improve the overall quality of services offered.
