Passengers evacuated from Central Station after a bomb threat

Dozens of passengers waiting for trains at Central Station were evacuated. This was reported to “Maritsa” by a man from Plovdiv, who is among those waiting on the platform. There is an increased police presence on site.

“We were told to get out and move,” our reader commented. He knows the exact reason for the evacuation, but according to the passengers it was a bomb scare.

“Maritsa” asked the police for information. From there, they announced that an investigation was launched at 18.50 into an arson call to 112, which refers to the Central Station area.

As per protocol, the police intervened immediately, people were removed from the perimeter, which was cordoned off and secured until the investigation was completed.

According to information from our media, passengers from the “Rodopi” bus station also had to be evacuated.
