Passenger to court for images of Utrecht | Interior

On Tuesday, the court in The Hague will have summary proceedings to get the images loose, a spokeswoman for the court confirmed on Sunday.

The plaintiff wants all the images, because he can see what the perpetrator has done with him. He states that suspect Gökmen T. aimed his weapon at him in the tram, after which he pulled the trigger a number of times. But no bullets came out, possibly because the weapon faltered or because the bullets ran out. Even after T. shook his weapon back and forth and pulled the trigger again, nothing happened. The offender then ran away.

The plaintiff has seen some images, but that was a selection, and according to him the events could not be seen in sufficient detail.

Death Beat

The passenger wants the OM to prosecute the suspect for attempted murder or manslaughter of him as a person. But according to him, the OM has put a broader legal description on the indictment, in which he and a few other passengers who came alive from it have been brought together. The claimant wants to use the images to show that T. really wanted him, so that he can substantiate his claim against the suspect.

The case is in a hurry, because the OM wants to receive the claims of the injured parties by 3 February at the latest.

The substantive handling of the case is planned between 2 and 6 March. Four people were killed and several were injured in the attack.
