Two crew members and two passengers were killed in the crash of an L-410 plane in the Irkutsk region of Russia, the Transport Prosecutor’s Office of Eastern Siberia said, according to world media.
According to the prosecutor’s office, one woman and three men died as a result of the accident, another wounded man is in serious condition.
The plane was traveling on a route from Irkutsk to Kazachinsk. The car landed in an emergency and heavy four kilometers from the airport in a difficult section due to technical problems.
There were 16 people on board, including two crew members.
Emergency services are working at the scene of the accident, and the evacuation is underway.
A local resident, who is helping rescuers clear the rails to transport the victims of the crash near Irkutsk, told about the condition of the passengers.
“We are taking out the wounded, there are four dead. Two are in serious condition. They are in shock, they do not understand where they are and what happened,” Evgeni said.
According to him, many people work at the site – rescuers and concerned locals.
