The reins are tightened all over the Netherlands, but in Amsterdam Mayor Femke Halsema goes a little further. Because enforcement cannot always be everywhere, it wants people to take responsibility themselves. But she goes one step further, because when people hear that there is a party in the area, she wants people to report it. Are we getting corona click lines now?
In an interview, Halsema briefly explained what is going to change in Amsterdam, that enforcement will be more strictly controlled and respond to gatherings and suchlike. Until then she says nothing remarkable, until suddenly she says the following:
‘Let us know if there is a party in the area and we can perform’
She hopes that Amsterdammers will therefore en masse go off on their neighbors. We now know that the elite canal belt community in Amsterdam is a cold and cold people, but clicking about the behavior of your neighbors?
Of course, we need to get control of the second wave as soon as possible, but whether clicking is the best way now, I doubt that.
