New Part of Aid Supplies USA in the field of security is already arriving in Ukraine.

This was announced by Pentagon spokesman John Kirby, reports CNN.

“Half a dozen” security aid supplies to Ukraine have already “leaked into the region” from an $800 million package that US President Joe Biden signed on March 16 during a briefing on Thursday, he said.

“These shipments are already arriving, in fact from the moment he signed the order to the first batch went on the road, it took about four days and there were already half a dozen shipments that entered the region,” Kirby said.

“I can tell you that at these intermediate transfer points you don’t have to wait long before they are picked up by convoys and delivered to Ukraine, so four days is pretty fast,” he added.

Kirby calculated that it would likely take “a couple of weeks” to complete the shipment of the $800 million package.

“We don’t think it will take long to fill the $800 package, fill everything, we really don’t think it will take long at all, maybe a couple of weeks,” he said.

“Supplies are not just weapons. They are a mixture of ‘weapon systems’ and then ‘support and support items’, which include ‘food, body armor, helmets, small arms and ammunition, medical and first aid kits,'” Kirby said.

Kirby added that some weapons systems, such as Javelins and Stingers, were in those first few shipments to Ukraine.

“These first half-dozen or so had weapon systems, there were Javelins, there were Stingers, and medical supplies, body armor, small arms and ammunition,” he said.

Recall that the US may increase production of Stinger and Javelin, which Ukraine requested. The United States intends to replenish its arsenals after sending thousands of systems to Eastern Europe to support Ukraine.
