Paris Thursday Demonstration’s Path

In opposition to the pension reform, the unions are calling for a new day of demonstrations. For this ninth day of strike, the course of the Parisian procession must connect Bastille to Opéra, passing by the boulevards Beaumarchais, Filles du Calvaire, Temple, announced BFM TV.

The event will begin around 2 p.m. and will pass through the Place de la République, then the boulevards Saint-Martin, Saint-Denis, Bonne Nouvelle, Poissonnière, Montmartre, des Italiens and Capucines. For this ninth day of national strike, many sectors of activity will be mobilized, following the triggering of 49.3 by Elisabeth Borne to push through the pension reform.

The secretary general of the CFDT, Laurent Berger, called, Monday evening, the employees to “mobilize Thursday, within the framework of the inter-union, in the same sense of responsibility” as since January, to request the withdrawal of reform. The CGT calls for “amplifying mobilization” and “participating massively in renewable strikes and demonstrations” on Thursday. Since last Thursday and the outbreak of 49.3, demonstrations are daily in several cities in France.

Monday, 234 people were arrested, while firefighters carried out 240 interventions on fires, according to ActuParis.
