The guesses later turned out to be a major misunderstanding. Now, however, Paris revealed that it was actually so bad for her when she was young: As a teenager, she attempted suicide several times.
“Yes, I’ve tried to kill myself many times!”said the 22-year-old in conversation with her friend Gabriel Glenn in her Facebook series Unfiltered. The reason for that then was bullying because of her figure – because after the death of her father in 2009 she put on a lot of weight: “Food became an addiction. Then a cousin called me fat and I thought, ok, I can’t do that anymore. And so I started self-harm. It was the transfer from psychological pain to physical pain! “
After a suicide attempt in 2013 Paris was finally sent to a therapy boarding school in Utah to overcome her depression. It was correspondingly bad for the model to read the wrong suicide news about herself last year: “Paris is really hurt and upset!”an acquaintance said at the time.
