A meeting was held in Paris between the foreign and defense ministers of France and Russia. One of the main topics was the situation around Ukraine, informs French Ministry of Defense on Friday, 12 November.

In particular, Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian and Defense Minister Florence Parly expressed their concerns.

“The two ministers expressed concern about the deteriorating security situation in Ukraine and clearly warned of the serious consequences of any further possible damage to the territorial integrity of Ukraine,” the statement said.

Also, the French side called on the Kremlin to return to the organization of the Normandy format ministerial meeting as soon as possible. Russia was reminded of its commitments regarding the transparency of military movements and activities in accordance with the requirements of the OSCE.
