Parents throw drugs around, baby ingests cocaine | Abroad

The 1-year-old child was brought to the emergency room in Ghent last year. Traces of cocaine and methadone were found in the baby’s stomach. The parents, drug addicts, had used drugs together and the baby had probably found the drugs on the floor, according to Het Nieuwsblad.

The father was sentenced to 30 months in prison, the mother 14 months. They also have to pay a fine of 8,000 euros. They have four more children together. Before the judge, the man and woman declared that they no longer want anything to do with each other in the future. The baby has recovered.
