The boy jumped along with an instructor who was trapped behind him. During the fall, the instructor noticed that he had lost consciousness. The jump happened at a height of 3 kilometers. It is not known whether the boy fell away shortly after leaving the plane.

,,The instructor got the boy safely on the ground”, says Simon Woerlee, director of National Paracentrum Teuge. ,,But noticed that the boy was no longer breathing. We started CPR with our own people. It was taken over after 15 minutes by the doctors of the ambulance and trauma helicopter. The boy started breathing again and was immediately taken away by ambulance.”

According to Woerlee, it rarely happens that someone becomes unconscious during a fall. “I’ve seen someone pass out, but they hadn’t eaten anything beforehand. This incident can be compared to a young football player who suddenly collapses on the field. As far as we have heard from the family, they were there, this boy was never bothered by anything. They are very shocked. He’s breathing, but let’s hope it ends with a fizzle.”
