See first, then believe: For over a year now, we have assumed that we will get our lives back when most of us are vaccinated. In Israel, the country that is furthest with vaccinations and has now injected 40 percent of the population, it turns out to be completely true.
Israel has begun to vaccinate residents over 60. And from the outset, infection rates in that age group dropped dramatically, while the number of infected people under 70 continued to rise.
The Pfizer vaccine also appears to work almost flawlessly. Research shows that less than 0.1 percent of the twice-vaccinated still get sick.
